Hivernage suits travellers prioritising a resort-style stay — pool, spa, polished restaurants — over Medina atmosphere, and who don't mind a taxi to reach the souks and main sights. It's a common choice for business trips, honeymoons, and anyone visiting Marrakech as one stop on a wider Morocco trip who wants an easier, more familiar base.
It's roughly a 10-minute taxi from the Medina — close enough for regular day trips into the old city without living inside it.
